Neuroimaging techniques, such as an MRI, can show with great precision the size and location within the brain that has been affected by an event, such as a stroke. A neuropsychological evaluation, on the other hand, can measure how much of an impact the stroke had on various cognitive abilities, such as memory. This type of evaluation typically involves a clinical interview with the patient, cognitive testing, and review of the patient's medical records. Depending on need, cognitive testing may be performed using a mixture of pencil and paper testing, computerized testing, and verbally asking the patient questions.
Our facility is structured to provide neuropsychological services for adults (ages 18 to 90+) for the following conditions or specific needs:
Due to the specialization and testing materials required, we are unable to conduct evaluations for individuals under the age of 18. We are also unable to conduct evaluations for Autism.
